Playing the computer tonight with 2 780ti cards and the 780ti in the first port set on fire for a few seconds then turned off my pc. The other 780ti is fine and everything else in the case is fine.
you can try the other card to see if it still works but the one that caught on fire sounds like a goner.
oh dam was really hoping i could replace it. could i call nvidia and get it replaced or is it just gone lol. havent had it for too long but bought from amazon not even a year ago more like 8 months.

what is the psu if it was on fire it could be psu related also is your motherboard fine?

Not sure why you did that when the 970 was out but anyway I don't see why you are surprised the card that caught on fire is a goner?
