780ti or rx 560

currently running a 2gb rx 560. I can buy a 780ti for under 200. should i go for the 780ti?

Not sure I'd purchase a 5yo GPU but it does appear a fair amount faster.(hard to find comparisons)

I know its older but would it give better performance? buying a new card like a rx 580 would cost a fortune.

The 780ti is similar to the rx 580. As long as you don't mind the higher power usage, older cards can be good.

If you live in the US Amazon has some GTX 1050ti between 200-275 new I think still would be better than older 780 ti

The 780Ti is in the same range as a 970, 1060 and is much better than the 1050Ti. It has higher power consumption, yes, but the 1050Ti is not better than the 780Ti.
