I know this is a dumb question since obviously the 7950 is better, but i'll ask anyway. I plan on playing GW2, Planetside 2, LoL, Crysis 3, and random games on steam. The 7870 LE I'm looking at is this one.

And according to toms, it will be going on sale again for $210. But I seriously considering building my rig then waiting 2 weeks to get paid again so i can buy this 7950 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161420 but idk, I'm quite indecisive. I would hate to buy the 7870 LE then have buyers remorse about not getting the 7950. And I would hate to buy the 7950 knowing I could of saved some money. And when the new 8000 series comes out i want something that will still shine and not feed outdated. Gah..idk.

And how much could I get if I was to sell the includes bioshock and crysis 3?

I believe the 7870 LE comes with bioshock and tomb raider, the 7950 has bioshock and crysis 3. Anyway, I would imagine you could get $40-50 for the games on ebay. I think you should just get the 7870 LE. The 7950 isn't powerful enough to account for the extra cost.

Not a dumb question at all. Your question is a smart one to me :lol.

$210 is honestly some good prices. That LE in the review is just a mere 1% slower than it's older brother, the 7950. I think getting the LE is a smart buy. The difference is only the free games that you get (I think you will not get Crysis 3 in the LE but you will if you buy the 7950) and you will have 2GB vs 3GB of VRAM. Personally these things doesn't really matter to me (plus that I won't play crysis 3) and VRAM doesn't really matter that much from 2 to 3GB when you are not doing multi-monitor gaming.

Thanks for the replies and helps so far guys. I plan on upgrading to a 27" 1440p monitor or a 24" 1920x1200 monitor depending on how much vram they use. I've read of people reaching 2.5 vram on the 27" 1440p monitors. I don't want to sacrifice graphic quality and frames to play at 1440p and would gladly play on a 1920x1200 monitor.

Just a side comment, I agree that 7870LE and 7950 perform pretty similarly, but I would like to note that you will be maxing all the games on your list EXCEPT crysis 3. as long as maxing crysis 3 is not a priority, you're all good 🙂 the guys making Crysis 3 weren't kidding that they wanted to melt PCs again lol

Crysis 3 isn't a priority but if I can max crysis that would mean I could max a lot of future games. Can the 7950 even max it out, or would I need a 7970, because I'm not going to spend $400 on a graphics card lol.

Wow that's crazy...$1000 just to max Crysis 3..I'm good lol.
