7870 sound issue

Hi all, I've got a MSI 7870 2gb GPU but having issues with sound cutting out on grid 2 and f1 2013. Both games have the latest update and I have latest amd drivers... Games will play for about 5mins or so then I hear a little pop and sound cuts out.. It's beginning to irritate me!

I've got my GPU going to my Yamaha receiver via HDMI... Even when GPU is plugged straight into a TV with HDMI I get same issue.

Any help/advice appreciated.

have you tried a new hdmi cable? I personally just run a 3.5mm to rca for my sound and havent had any issues ever.

I did try a different cable but same issue. I use the HDMI for 5.1 surround.
