Okay, so I'm in a bit of a predicament right now. Currently I have a 7870 and I want to upgrade it to get on something that can max out 1080 P. I have someone lined up to buy the 7870 for $110 if need be. So I'm wondering what would be the best bang for my buck.
Would it be best to crossfire us to 7870, or should I buy a new card?
Unfortunately I'm stuck on a (vga) 1080p 21.5 inch monitor (don't judge, it cost $90 two years ago) so it looks like the 290/290x is not an option. Plus it seems like those cards Are not made for single monitor 1080p gaming anyways.
Would I be better off with a 7970 GHz/280x? I'd probably get a model with 2x8pin power connectors so I can seriously overclock it.
Or am I just better of waiting for next years model? Just looking to get the most bang for my buck.
