guyz iam looking forword of buying his 7870hd but it requires 2x6pin and iam having cooler master thunder 500watt psu which has 1x6pin will it power up and i cant afford to buy new psu,or should i go with cheaper card.
Could you give us a link to your exact model psu? if it is sufficent enough to power the 7870, what you can do is buy a Molex to pci-e 6 pin connector.

Yeah For a system using a single reference design Radeon HD 7870 graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater power supply. The power supply should also have a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.
Your cooler master has two +12v1=24 amps +12v2=21 Amps with a max output of 408 watts. If you bought the Molex to pci-e connector it would most likely work. But like the other said. Some cooler master units are not up to par with it competitors in quality. I Believe your model is one of them.
