So i have a Saphire 7870 XT OC with boost.
I noticed my heat sink was quite dusty so i decided to take my heat sink off and give it a clean, I then replaced the thermal paste with Quality Silver Cooler master thermal paste although i did not replace the heat pads on the memory pads.
Now i have to put my fans on 100% just to keep my GPU below 70 degrees, I used to run most games quite cool, Such as metro would make my gpu reach 70 but now my gpu rises to 90 at times and shuts off.
My case is NZXT source 530 with 9 Gelid fans, all at 1500rpm, And the rest if my components stay nice and cool.
