79-81c Under Load

I have a i7 4790k with a prefilled liquid cooler and its running at 79-81c under 100% load. Is that normal or should I go ahead and replace the thermal paste. Ive already dusted the pc

and its about 35-40 idle

What liquid cooler do you have and how hot is your room? My 4790k idles at around 25C and runs around 45C-50C under load in a room thats around 15C. The CPU with a good cooler should run around 5-10C hotter idle than the ambient room temperature.

Idk i think its hyper evo something. and my room stays about 70 Fahrenheit

The CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo is an Air cooler. Your temps should be around 32C idle then which would mean with a good water cooler they would hit around 60C-70C depending on what load the CPU is under.

Yes thats why i'm asking what your cooler is so i can look at some benchmarks for you. It is not the Hyper Evo.
