Along with this build, i am also planning on getting a Quest 3 VR headset. So my budget is tight and i have planned my build just right at £2500 which includes the quest 3.

I want a compact PC hence my decision to go mATX. fortunately the case is well designed to be compatible with those high end hardwares.

Went for AM5 so that i can upgrade to a better CPU 2 or 3 years down the line. 7600X is perfect for me as i mainly play Dota 2 and Skyrim VR after i get my Quest 3.

My main questions are:

1) experiences of 7900XT or XTX users on Quest 2 or Quest Pro. I am planning on running SkyrimVR (heavily modded) and other open word games mainly. But probably just Skyrim i guess. So i wanted to know the user experience with the 7900XT and Quest ecosystem.

If the 7900XT has driver problems, which card would you suggest instead? the 4070ti? would the 12gb Vram be enough for heavily modded skyrim? I plan on having custom 2k res textures for everything.

2) I wear prescription specs, so any others with specs having adjustment or visual clarity issues? it says the quest 2 comes with a foam spacer. So i guess the quest 3 should also come with a similar spacer. But i am a bit worried about the fitment...

3) I am planning on getting the elite strap with battery for better weight distribution and extended battery use. Can you use a BT headphone with the quest headset and elite strap? I have a Sennheiser HD450SE headset. I also have a panasonic RZS500 - a bit old and only has 2 hrs battery backup, no where near as good as the HD450SE, so you can see why i would want to stick with the HD450SE if its possible...

4) How is the airlink/wireless streaming working with Radeon cards? can you use the full resolution and 120hz in wireless mode? any idea about the wireless streaming capability in the quest 3?

5) As you can see, i have opted for a 34" ultrawide. I actually want an even bigger screen like a 43" or a 48" TV which has HDMI 2.1, 120hz, ALLM, VRR and the other monitor centric features, but the price cannot be more than £500, any suitable recommendation? all the models i saw with the specs i want start at £800 like the Hi Sense U8H. other models have bad/slow response time. I check RTings website for the reviews.

additional question: any peeps out there trying to get PS VR2 to get it working with PC with some tinkering? i dont think the quest 3 has foveated rendering and eye tracking, that would help with the GPU requirements a bit. It also has OLED display which would be great!

Thanks for reading!

Interested in hearing how you find this build in VR - similar to mine and I am considering VR, including use for a molded skyrim.

I am also following the development of iVRy in twitter. That guys is currently working to get the PS VR2 with PC.

Hoping he finishes the stuff by christmas or early next year. I would be getting the PC build this black friday and the VR 2024.

My current build revision: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RVC2VW

The PS VR2 has eye tracking and foveated rendering ( it has to be supported by the game ) and it has a 144hz OLED screen with similar resolution.
