My 4.6 gigahertz overclock I found out it wasn't stable the other day when using the computer the computer randomly restarted without any blue screen of death or anything I'm wondering if anyone knows if I'm hitting Max power load on the motherboard or on the power supply...it is the 860 ax I was thinking about going for a 1000 watt power supply but I would rather not ditch the ax if not needed, the 4.6 auto overclock set the voltage to 1.35 is that too much for the x299 tuf motherboard? I have not tried a manual overclock because it seems quite complicated on this chip, I know I can old 4.6 gigahertz but it did crash once after gaming for 4 hours. It crashes instantly when I run prime95 with the auto overclock from Asus or the fast tuning or extreme tuning option. Any advice on what you think it might be? Should I upgrade the power supply? Or is it the motherboards Max limit at 1.35 volts?
I normally manually overclock much less power hungry CPUs so I am a little bit naive to the specific CPU having 10 cores. I went with the auto overclock because I don't want to screw up my new system but apparently the auto overclock is actually screwing up my new system lol
