so my 7900xt is idle at 70 watts and makes gpu warm and cool itself off like at 60c and fans will turn off until it reaches that again now playing in the amd adrenaline app i noticed if u use just the igpu the 7900xt puls like 10 watts which is better then me worrying about a $1000 gpu amd told me to rma it and i argued that its a driver issule cause i switched to hdmi port 2 and somehow disabled the integrated gpu and gpu in the pci slot and windows was just using display port driver from microsoft so i learned that if i just use my igpu for display and gpu for gaming i wont burnout my fans or make it warm but in the settings its stubborn cause although the gpu sits at 10 watts while the igpu takes over as the dispaly it will always be my default for playing intense games any fix around this or should i rma my gpu cause i took a pic and wanan show amd its not faulty its windows drivers mix with adrenaline making it run so hot ugh im so confused can someone help please?

Is it an AMD made card or from a 3rd party?

which drivers are you using?

have you tried running DDU in safe mode, remove current drivers, boot back into normal and run windows update, let it find probably the December drivers

My 7900xt normally sits between 25 and 30 on desktop. Thats what its showing now.
this is from the AMD Overlay

This is incredibly hard to read in any meaningful sense, but I'm getting the sense that your GPU is idling at 70W, measured somehow, and AMD told you to RMA it. If that's what they told you, you should just go ahead and do that.

If not, then please give your complete specs, in the form of a list and not the world's longest sentence, and give a clear description of the things that you've tried to do.

i have turned off the bios oc switch and it runs warm like in high 40s up to 60 c then cools itself down is it strange i hate rmas powercolor has not responded and if i get a new card kinda afraid i will get same behavior

I am on 1440p at 144htz

I know multi monitor set ups use more power, not sure how much more one 4k would pull compared to mine. Its hard to find figures.

hard to find anything on XT but that has been true for the last few months.

I wouldn't expect it to be running hot just showing an image on desktop at 4k. I am sure reviews would have mentioned that.
