7950 amd is not detected on monitor

im facing a problem i got a new gig yesterday i have got the sapphire 7950 oc edition and the mobo is msi g43 b85 gaming, when i installed the gpu on the board explorer is telling that the PCI 3 is empty so anyhelp ??

im displaying from the intel hd graphics now
and im connecting it by a DVI vga connector im not sure if that connector is working but is there anything to do ?

i got it installed really carefully and right and i have tried to put it in another PCI slot but still no signal on the monitor but im not sure about the connector
but if it wasn't from the connector i just got the gig yesterday so if there is a problem with it i might return it to the store or if there anything to do \
and there is a board explorer in the bois it tells that the PCI x16 is empty

Yeah I think a replacement on the shop will be your best shot.Do you have any friend or any other computer that you can test your gpu with so we can know if the gpu or the mobo has the issue.
