Looking for the Radeon 7950's equivalent in Nvidia.

Also, looking for the "rankings" (for lack of a better word) of the nvidia and radeon cards from least to greatest, if someone wants to show that.
Starting with the AMD's 7850 up, and Nvidia's 660 and up.

Thanks.

:EDIT:
And if we could include the "new" R9 line, that would be very helpful as well.

The 760 is the closest to a 7950

Lots of great answers, thank you.

Would you recommend getting a 3GB GPU over a 2GB GPU?
Say, a 3GB 660Ti over a 2GB 770.
Or, a 3GB R9 280X over a 2GB R9 290.
Taking into consideration, 1080 will be the highest resolution used.

2gb of vram are enough for now(as long as the resolution isn't higher than 1080p) and the gtx 770 is far better than the gtx 660ti and the 290 is much better than the 280x so the extra vram isn't worth it
