Hello

Had the Sapphire 7950 OC 3gb card for about 2 and half months it has been fine till about a week ago when i updated the software and drivers and i was constantly getting BSOD atikmpag.sys errors

I have just re-rolled the driver seems to be okay for now but has BSOD odd occasion

Anyone know any fixes ro what the cause might be or its the card?

hi
i have the XFX 7950 installed on a new build running windows 7 64bit and i was getting BSOD on a regular basis.

I tried all sorts of things i tried the card on a vista 32bit machine(12.4 for vista 32bit) and it worked fine no BSOD for 3 days. I also tried the new build without the 7950 card(using the gpu on the ivy bridge cpu) and the machine was stable for 3 days. So the conclusion was the 12.4 driver was causing the issue.

So i tried the following driver

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/RC11Driver.aspx

i ran the machine for 3 days and NO BLUE SCREEN. Hopefully the problem is resolved. if things change i will re-post.

12.4 on windows 7 64bit didn't work for me.
