7950 vs r9 380x

have a radeon gigabyte 7950 that i thought was broken but it turns out the motherboard was. So i bought a r9 380x saphire nitro but I can still return it. Should I keep the r9 380x or stick with the 7950? Is there any big difference?

There is certainly a difference. It's right on the border of what I consider significant enough to warrant the upgrade. If it were me, I would return it and save the money for a real upgrade when the next round of GPUs are released. The difference between the 7950 and the 380x ranges from about 10% up to 50%
