7970 Crossfire temps (mATX)

Okay so Im wanting to do a mATX build and get crossfire 7970s with this motherboard.

Yes the cards will be right next to each other so im worried about the temps of them and wondering if its worth getting them crossfired unless there are any other mATX boards you guys can suggest.

just get a r 290, forget crossfire in a matx build. crossfire is the sh!ts anyway, not worth the hassle.

You will see heat issues. I had 2x 7970 in a mid case on a standard ATX board and saw them feeding heat into each other. I ended up getting a full tower with a 230mm GPU duct (HAF X) just to be able to run them decently, which I did and it worked fine after that. But I ended up sending them back due to the fact that crossfire is just a pain in the ass anymore, half the time you see better gameplay under a single 7970 than you do with 2.

does your 7970 have a cooler that exhausts air out the rear, or does all the hot air blow back into the case? if it blows back into the case, probably avoid a matx build. What matx case do you plan on using?

mATX isn't so good for dual GPU. A 7970 is still a good card so if you already have it, I would just start out with that and upgrade down the road.

Ill be using the Corsair 350D its just a reference model
