I need an epic card for around $360 to $400, but 400 is REALLY REALLY stretching my budget... I do like Nvidia better and think that PhysX is awesome, but my original choice was a 760 and I chose the 7970 because of the better performance...

As far as my needs go, I will be running 2 or 3 monitors at 1080p each... I will use only 1 for gaming but use the others for Youtube and skype windows, etc...

If you prefer Nvidia I would suggest the 770, but to get the most performance out of your budget the 7970 would be way better. The 7970 and 770 are pretty much equal in terms of performance.

And I am aware that the processor can do PhysX in games where there is no Nvidia card. How well does the FX8350 at 5ghz do at it? (STFU Intel Fanboys)

To be honest I've never actually noticed any difference in framerates when enabling Physx (I have an AMD CPU and GPU so Physx would run off my CPU). I only have my 8350 OC'd to 4.5Ghz.

Ah, I see your build specs. Nice! 😀 And the 7970 will go good for my needs. Right?

In the recent past, I've seen hd7970s as low as 290 after rebate(ones with decent dual fan coolers, too). They already perform close to the much more expensive gtx770 and can overclock by large amounts(like possibly 33% or more on the core i.e. 925mhz to 1200+mhz on the core). Physx is used in so few games, and it's not like you actually need an nvidia gpu to run it. You can run physx on the cpu.
