7970 vapor x help

Hi I got the the sapphire 7970 vapor x last month install it worked fine but soon as i installed the driver's after 10 min or so i got a black screen saying no signal, so thinking it was a psu issue I bought a new one today installed the gpu works fine but soon ad i installed the drivers again i got a black screen (no signal) but when drivers aint installed i dont so was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it thanks.

How long exactly do you wait when the black screen comes?

Also, which driver were you installing and did you have a previous driver installed before this?

13.1 is what i installed i had a nvidia card before so might not of removed the old drivers properly so iv just installed windows 7 again and see if it still black screens

quick update it still restarts/ black screen which leads me to think its a driver problem so going to install the driver on the disk that came with the card and if it still dont work its going back and im going back to invida
