Been trying to do a partitioned zip for 100 gigs. I tried 20GB files, tried 8GB and tried 4GB. tried reducing CPU count and memory consumption. But I get a blue screen of death after about 10-15 minutes. One time I got an error message along the lines that said the process failed due to CPU or Memory or OS ...
It's worth noting I had slightly undervolted my CPU and overclocked my ram. But I have had zero stability issues on any games, applications or stress tests and have been operating with these settings for 6 months.
Is 7zip uber sensitive and stressing things to the max? Is it likely to be memory or the CPU in this regard? Should I return my OC to defaults, or is something else going on?
