Please help me find the problem as i am not tech savvy. Thanks

Mobo: Asus M5A78L
CPU: Fx 6300 3.50GHz
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600



It may be a BIOS issue. but frankly the BIOS is very intimidating to me as i am new to PC gaming and i have no idea what im doing

You're using a 64bit windows?

When opening msconfig->boot->advanced options is the max memory unchecked?

Did all the DRAM come in a single package? 2x4GB or 4x2GB? What model #? What CPU cooler? Have you checked for bent/broken pins (if not give us the other info first)

Yeah, please confirm you have a 64 bit version of windows

32 bit windows recognize 3.5-4G of RAM only . if you are using 32 bit , switch to 64 , and you can use the same product key. just install the 64bit DVD
