8+2 and non oc board

Hi i have noticed b150 and h170 asus pro gamer boards to have 8+2 power phase also some other manufacturers have 6+2 and beyond on those boards. I know 8+2 is good for oc as it offer less heat and more stability but what is the benefit from it on non oc boards? Or does this low end boards offer oc?

All things being equal, more phases are better but things are rarely equal. A quality 6 +2 can serve better than cheap 8 +2. On B and H series MoBos, I wouldn't worry about it.... like expensive PSUs, they are not going to matter that much unless you are doing serious overclocking.
