8.2 is the current overall record (for any CPU), done with a P4. Somehow, I doubt that you had it that high.
well maybe the highest comsumer overclock but there been higher (although they dont say there cpus. they just say chips.) Just looked it up and found these 2 stories (back from 2006).
Maybe one day it will be feasible to use liquid helium, hydrogen, etc... based cooling systems in home PC's. I'm sure a lot of OC'ers on here can only imagine the possibilities! But then again, that could take the fun out of it for some.
By the way, what sort of chip was used in the OC'ing (i.e. the "stock" 350Ghz chip)?
all i can find is what you see in toms hardware post. so cant find the name of it. Although if you meaning what it was made out of then it is a "silicon-germanium" chip.
