8 led PC fans

I'm building a Pc for the first time and I plan on gaming on it and installing 8 led fans what motherboard would be able to support that amount or should I just get fan splitters

5 120mm led fans
3 140mm led fans

Get four 4 pin fan splitters and you are good, they are quite cheap, around $1.20 AUD each. I also bought 3 noctua ones for $1 on clearance

There might be motherboards there with 8 individual fan plugs, and maybe someone else can point you to one.

There are 2 different options though.
There are case fan splitters: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Description=fan%20splitter&Submit=ENE

Or there are case fan controllers, where you have a box (which you can usually put in one of the 5.25' front slots of your PC which is powered by a . . . (wait, this must've moved on from molex, right?) molex/sata.

First option you need a motherboard with 4 fan plug connections (you don't want to split it twice, they do require a certain power to run)
Second option you're pretty much independant of motherboard.
And you can combine the two, if you wish. a 4 dan controller with splitters.

What are your parts?

Are you building a gaming PC or a neon windmill?

Even the hottest parts can be cooled with two 120mm intake fans and a 120mm exhaust.
8 fans seems like overkill.
It will add noise and expense to your build.
Save the $ and use it on performance parts.

If you want led's, they do not consume much power either in a fan or stand alone.
