My build has suddenly started restarting every so often. I can't seem to pinpoint when it restarts, sometimes when I'm gaming, others when I'm just browsing the internet, seemingly random. I have no clue what to do after a quick google, here's some information I've came up with.

My 4 core temperatures are around 45-50, with a max of 52.
Event manager says it's a Event ID 6008 error, here's the full details -

Your error indicates that "Event ID 6008 entries indicate that there was an unexpected shutdown"

This unexpected shut down could have corruperd your HDD, Specifically a file(s) that are need ie a driver.

Shut down could be multiple cause such as:
..Temperatures, But CPU looks OK, also GPU = ?
PSU - Look at the +5 and +12 V rails, both at Idle and under load. I use HWMonitor fo looking at voltages If +12 is way out in leftfield, software is not correcly reporting it try a diff program.
..I use Prime 95 to check both +12 V rail and stability of system (+12 Should not be below 11.6 and the chang from Idle to load shoud not be > 0.3V
..Mmory errors - prime 95 will check memory and cpu for errors.

To check GPU, I use Furmark.

Added: If a File was corrupted, may need to re-install windows.

NOTE: when using prime 95, inaddition to monitoring your +12V, monitor CPU temps!!. For Furmark, monitor +12 V and GPU temps.

GPU is around 50, so that should be fine. I also ran memtest86 and that came back clean.
The +12 V rail is around 8V, and the +5 V rail is at 5.2V, guessing the 12v rail may be the problem.

8 Volts is NOT a valid value! - Computer would not work.
Spec for +12 V is 11.4 V. Much below this and it will not turn on.
For what it's worth, your +5 is very close to the max; +5 is 4.75V -> 5.25 V.

A multimeter is a very cheap investment, and VERY easy to use.
Cost <$20
simply plug the Black meter lead into one of the center sockets on a Molex pwr connector, Plug the red meter lead into either end. Set meter to read VDC - turn on Computer.
If red Meter lead is pluged into the molex socket with red wire - THAT is your +5 V. Other end (orange or Yellow) would be the +12 V rail.
