[SOLVED] 8 Pin connector

Hi guys. So, I upgraded from a XFX R7870 Ghost Edition to a R9 280x and the new card requires 1x8pin and 1x6pin. Problem is the old card only used 2xpin and my PSU doesn’t have an 8pin connector. Is it ok for me to just buy another 6pin cable and use a 2x6pin to 8pin adapter? Keep in mind I am going to buy a new PSU, this isn’t forever. Here’s my PSU
It’s a NSpire NS650 650W semi modular psu

You need a new decent PSU , THAT HAS THE PROPER CONNECTIONS.

Right, I know, unfortunately I don’t have the budget right this second. But I will buy one in the next month or so. I just want to know if what I suggested will work for now, I don’t really hardcore game anyways, I play League once in a while, better uses the cpu and gpu
