8 pin CPU power cable not clicked in all the way

The title pretty much says it all. Did it damage my cpu? I only booted it once and then realized.

No. The PC wouldn't have even booted if the CPU power was not making contact. Plugging it in all the way just ensures you won't have problems in the future.
