Building a rig with three gtx 1080ti aorus but didn't check it has 8+8 pin for power (instead of 8+6)
Could I use something like a "8pin female To 2-port Dual 8p" with a "Evga supernova gq 850w PSU" ? (cpu doesn't eat much so 3x250w should be fine i think but I'm concerned about using a splitter)

Solution

An EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 comes with six 6+2 pin PCIE cables.

I would never use an adaptor of this type at this price level with this wattage.

Even just assuming 250W each for three, going with an 850W PSU is not a good idea. Trying to find a cheap workaround to save $50 on a PSU powering >$2000 worth of GPUs suggests a poor decision-making process.

hmm okay , I have another evga 1000w g2 psu laying around I'l go with that one then , thx )
but is it fine to use 8pin to 8+8 splitter ?
