8 pin power connector, 4 pins on motherboard? Help!

Hello! I am putting together a new build and I am at a stop now because of some trouble. This is my system:

CPU: AMD FX 8120
MOBO: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
PSU: Corsair CX500
*I left out components not necessary for my question*

On my motherboard all I see is a 4 pin power input for CPU power. My CX500 doesn't have a 4 pin CPU power plug. The CPU plug on the CX500 has 8 pins. How do I connect this? Should I use my PCI 4 pin power? Is there any way around this?

Hi, I guess that it's a 4+4 pin power supply connector. Try separating them.

Your 8 PIN CPU connector should SPLIT in half into 2 FOUR pin connectors. Try doing that.

DO NOT try using a four pin PCI

It might be an 8pin, it should be labeled EPS or CPU power. just plug in the four that fit.

My bad. Apparently this model has seperate cables for 8,6,and 4 pins...
