Hey guys,

My grpahics card (MSI N760 Hawk) requires 2x8 pin connectors but my psu (Corsair CX450) only has 1x8pin connector. Will my GPU work with only 1 connector?

And if not, should I use a 8 pin splitter as linked below to power the GPU. According to MSI the GPU only needs 170W so my PSU will have more than enough power for the card.

No, it won't. On another note, if your PSU lacks the necessary connectors for your components - you're either using the wrong PSU for your system or you have the wrong components to pair with your PSU.

I will not advise on a splitter even if we saw a zombie apocalypse. You should be getting a higher wattage PSU just to power that GTX760.

Okey, thank you for your input. I already purchased the psu but not the gpu yet, so what should I go for instead? Gtx 750 ti? Also according to pcpartpicker my setup only needed 330 ish Watts total so I assumed it would be fine, mb.
