8 pin psu in 4pin mobo

I am looking to upgrade my powersupply as i am getting a new graphics card. my motherboard only has a 4 pin cpu plug and the psu im looking at has an 8 pin cpu connector. what my question is, is weather the 8 pins on the psu linked below will really be in the 4+4 setup, where i can just break them apart and just use it like a regular 4 pin cpu plug.
