I have Corsair H100i GTX that I bought and first installed in 2015. This cooler has cooled a 4690k, 4790k, 5600X, and now a 5800X3D.

It's still going strong, but as it ages, I am growing increasingly concerned about a potential failure in the pump or some catastrophic leak that'll take out my board and other compenents.

Should I be preparing to retire it soon? Considering a Thermailright PA120 and using the be quiet Silent Wing 3's I currently have on the rad.

leaks are less of a concern for better manufactured coolers.

a failure of the pump will not be much of a risk because CPUs have thermal protection built-in that will cause shutdown of the system before any heat damage would occur.

just keep an eye on temperatures and don't worry unless you start to see large abnormal fluctuations and/or much higher idle & max temps.
