Ok, so i just built a new system, but I bought the MoBo used, when using the 7850K with the stock cooler I was getting 78C idle on the BIOS with no OS installed, and that was just plain crazy, so i thought that by buying the 212X i would be solving the issue, and it did solve it, a bit... I installed windows and bought a game to bench it, and at idle it was getting 55C, which is reasonable, but still high, and at load it was getting 80+ degrees! I was not very happy with that. I am using the stock case fans and they run at 500rpm.

So I was thinking, if I replace the case fans with some more powerful ones, will it solve my issue? Or will I have to switch motherboards since mine is used and I don`t know what it`s been used for?

Have you tried reapplying the thermal paste? Is the CPU fan spinning abnormally slow compared to the rest of the fans in the computer? If so, try replacing the fan. Is there a fan on the CPU heatsink at all? If not, get one ASAP. A modern CPU can be permanently damaged in seconds with no heatsink. With no fan? Well, that's just a matter of time. Hope that helps!
