80+ rating on power supply?

Is a 80+ gold power supply's higher price tag worth it over a 80+ Bronze? 80+ Gold is usually around $60 while 80+ Bronze is more around $35-40.

That depends.
For most normal users, the extra efficiency is not really a problem (I run a Bronze unit)
However, the quality of a unit matters far more than the rating. My bronze unit is much higher quality than some gold units out there.
The average cost is at or around 5 bucks difference a year anyway.

In general, I would say no, it's probably not worth paying extra just for better efficiency. But, for the most part, you're not just paying for better efficiency, you're paying for an overall better and more reliable PSU.

Notice that as you go up the list to higher tier PSUs, efficiency ratings tend to go up as well. That being said, having a gold rating by no means guarantees a good PSU, nor does a bronze rating guarantee a bad one.
