Hello! My girlfriend wants to build a computer to play minecraft and overwatch. I'd imagine she would mod the crap out of minecraft. I could also forsee her getting into some video editing (probably nothing too major) Are there any experienced techies out there who could offer me build advice for this budget? (The set budget is soft, I would be willing to pay more if the justification is explained)

For about a $1000 (USD) you could go 9400F/16gb@2666 RAM & the 1660 ti 6gb which would be a good 1080P (or medium-ish settings 1440P) build...

Or

Ryzen 1600/1700/16gb@3200 (speed makes a difference with Ryzen) & the 1660 ti 6gb.

The video editing would be better done with the AMD Ryzen due to the extra cores/threads.

Does she just need the tower only or peripherals/OS included?

The budget is just for the tower. I do need to pick up peripherals and OS but I'll take care of that for her lol
There ya go lol. So the builds posted above are pretty basic but either would suit gaming needs although that 1700 would be significantly better for video rendering. The aftermarket fans/memory and case fans can be swapped out for RGB if desired and the H500 case is super easy to work in. The stock 120mm fan in the H500 would stay as-is for exhaust and one of the 140mm fans would be up top as exhaust and the other two 140mm fans would be placed in the front as intake.
