1. Your CRT will work, but in 2010, you might wanna go with a LCD :) . But you might wanna spend the extra dough now on your system & upgrade next year to a LCD. Your call.

Monitor (Optional) : LG E2250T-PN 22". You can go with the cheaper BenQ's, GHans.s, etc, but I'd stick to LG, Samsung, Asus, Acer, Dell, etc.

2. Much faster RAM : $78 Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB)

The rest of the build looks alright. Not the brands I normally recommend, but nothing wrong with the specs.

Its a good build, I agree with getting the better RAM that calguy mentioned.

Zotac would not have been my initialchoice for the GPU, but they are $10 cheaper than the rest and from what I can tell around the net they are a good company. Some guy had a bad issue with RMA (but I think someone always does regardless of company) but in the end his 295 was replaced with a GTX480 so I think he was happy at the end

Alright, added the better ram. To be honest I just picked zotac as it was the cheapest and came with free just cause 2, would it be worth the extra money to switch to a different brand? and I guess ill probably just just my crt for now and get an lcd next year or something
