Hi guys, It's my first time on this forum. I don't know too much about PC's or how to build them, but I'm going to use this build as my first project. I wanted something that is good at multitasking and can get some good performance at the same time. Any opinion's or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

in my opinion you'd get the same performance with this build. i cut back on certain parts which gave me the ability to make better choices in other areas. example: cutting back on the 8-core processor and going with the 6-core (honestly the 6 core will do you wonders). then cutting back on 16GB of RAM (you'll never use more than 8GB, even in gaming). this allowed me to up on the graphic card to a 760 which will allow you to play Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Watchdogs, and all the other new titles! I also chose a much better CPU cooler than the stock one as you can overclock with this one. that, and the XFX power supply is very popular among this site so i would recommend that as well. again, this is just an idea...best of luck!

Wow thanks a lot bizz, i took your ideas but upgraded the fx6300 to an 8320 which only bumped your price by $20. So here's more of a final build-
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+
Memory: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866
Storage: Western Digital WD Green 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked ACX
Case: Enermax ECA3280A-BL ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply: XFX 550W ATX12V / EPS12V
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
And thanks to those who asked about an OS, but i purchased Windows 7 ultimate awhile back that I've yet to use.

Get the 280x over a 760, and as calnin said a wd 1tb blue is a better choice. Almost forgot, with a 280x u get 3gb of gddr5 as opposed to 2gb in the 760. Games now need 3gb for the options menu to even let u max the game(watch dogs and titan fall)
