Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com

Location: Raleigh, NC USA

Parts Preferences: No preference. have never built before. My laptops have intel.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Don't know what this is. Would guess not.

Your Monitor Resolution:1920x1080

Additional Comments: Battlefield4/ RPG's.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Laptop wont support the good games.

Before we start, SLI/Crossfire (SLI= Nvidia and Crossfire= AMD) is adding a second graphics card for more performance. Of course, your motherboard and PSU have to support SLI.

Here's a build i just put together (edited to remove monitor). This is the best I could do with your budget:

This build would do very well on high settings in BF4. I would recommend one of camohanna's builds, but if you add an OS like you asked, they go WAY over budget.

How about this? Does that optical drive work?
