Solution
Yeah your CPU is fine, overclocked it would give pretty much the same performance as a more modern i5. I'd get a decent CPU cooler like a Corsair H100 or Noctua NH-D15 and a GTX 980Ti

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($93.04 @ Newegg)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card ($664.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $758.02

Solution

Thanks. but isn't the r9 390 better and cheaper than the gtx 980 if im not running 4k ?

Yes but the GTX 980ti is faster than both.

EDIT: Sorry I got that confused, the R9 390 is actually more similar to the GTX 970 and the R9 390x is similar to the GTX 980. The GTX 980Ti doesn't really seem to have an AMD equivalent, it is pretty much the fastest card available.

but is the difference big ?
because if the difference isn't big I might save some money for some other things. its like 300$ more
