I've been piecing together a parts list and would like any suggestions to improve the build. I'm trying to keep it at a reasonable $800, this is also my first time building so I'm not super sure what parts will go the best with each other but I've read that the 2700x pairs well with the B 450 mobo. I'd like to keep the cpu at a Ryzen 7 2700x with the B 450 but I'll take any suggestions you guys might have.

I did a big goof, sorry about the link. This one should work

If this is $800/USD then this would be my recommendation. The motherboard supports Wifi & Bluetooth and has a easy to navigate BIOS. The GTX 1660 Super is a solid price to performing GPU and handles 1080P gaming fairly easy on higher settings. Depending if your budget is a bit more flexible you could even get the 1TB version of that NVMe storage.

ITs a good rig, but since he said he could go to 800$ he should consider the 5600XT option.
Other than that, pretty good.

You can get that GPU much cheaper. Just to lyk. I picked mine up a few months ago for 160+shipping on newegg.
The other question. Is this primarily a gaming rig? If so, would the op be better off with a 3600x?

Edit. Just read the op prefers the 2700x.

yes it is going to be primarily a gaming rig but I'm not looking to being able to smash games at ultra settings in 1440p, just need something that performs well at 1080p at a reasonable price

I guess I’m a bit biased because this is pretty much my own build but it’s such good value. I know you said you prefer the 2700x, however if you are only gaming, the 2600 performs VERY similarly and the improvement from dropping the 2700x to the 2600 to go from the 1660 super to the 5700 will be very noticeable and worth it imo, outperforming the 2700x and the 1660 super by a good margin. 1660 Ti vs RX 5700 I know it’s a 1660 ti but its more powerful than the 1660 super I believe so the margin between the 5700 and 1660 super should be even greater than in the video. Keep in mind I had to downgrade your storage a slight bit to make room for the 5700 but youre still left with a 240 gig ssd for windows and some games and a 1 tb hdd for the rest. Just throwing out some options.

Thank you for the build, I'll definitely put it into consideration. The 5700 is a card I've been looking a lot into for this build
