Hi. I've always connected my desktop via ethernet cord, however; yesterday the modem + router was moved and there's no cord that runs to the top of the house.
I've noticed that my Desktop (HP) has a "802.11n Wireless Lan Card"; it says the drivers are up to date (I've tried downloading them and installing them off another computer) and the device is "working properly"; yet for some reason it doesn't discover any wireless networks. It's not that I'm out of range either because I've tried using the "Virgin Mobile Mifi" (basically wireless anywhere on the go) and it doesn't even find that network.
Here's what my "Network & Sharing Center" looks like; I cropped in my device manager/driver details/ect.
