Dear all,
I noticed some high temps on my 8086k(basic oc 5ghz all cores) when using arnold render in cinema 4d(100% cpu load when rendering). Its a multi threaded cpu renderer(all 12threads used), dont know if its the same logic as cinebech.
Anyway before overclocking (the boost was like to 4.7ghz), when arnold is in use(100% cpu load), the temps were below 80. After a basic overclock i watch on youtube, when arnold is in use, temps are 85+ sometimes 90+ after 3 or 4hours of render but never 100. I can hear my x72 and running full speed. Fans are in performance mode
Here are my specs
Msi carbon z390
8086k
Rtx 2080
Evga 850w
Nxzt x72
2xnvme ssd 500
32gig ddr4 3000
Xmp profile on
OC TEMPS
Idle: 32 -36
Single core app (after effects, touch designer, cinema 4d: 60-70
Arnold render c4d(100% cpu use 12threads): 85+
For my purpose, if these temps are normal for what am doing, my question is, can i run my cpu full load at 85+ for 4days non stop render ? I got an incoming project i fear i might damage the cpu.
PS didn't play any games on it yet.
Anyway people, thats it. If any of you can advise me on that would be very apreciated.
Cheers
