So about 2 years ago i bought an fx8320 for dirt cheap. I got it on sale for 211$ with a motherboard. Anyways, i havent touched it with an overclock at all up until earlier this year (like 3 weeks ago) I managed to get it to 4.6 ghz stable and its out performing the 5ghz 9590 which seems a bit weird to me, especially considering that it is clocked a whole 400mhz lower.

Solution
You also need one of a select few Mobos to run the 9590 right. Most won't really run it all, some will "run" it, but not well. and the few that are designed for it, reveal it's a complete POS CPU.

Just about everything. It was beating it in cb by almost 50 points. I dont know if it is only me or if its a wide spread occurence. Another example is BF4 max settings 1080p i get around 120 fps while the same card with my friends 9590 gets 120. Its not beating it in that but its close and for being 50$ cheaper still.

Well a game like BF4 is mostly GPU optimized, so if you both have the same card, then the FPS will be the same. Once the CPU can deliver enough juice, the extra is just not used. BF4 with a I3 and the same GPU can do 120fps. Most gaming is GPU based. As long as a modest CPU can handle the load, it all falls on the GPU.

Well don't forget that you need a 360mm rad to keep the 9590 running stable (unless you good an extra good sample that could run on a 240mm rad). Usually the 9590 drops to 4.0-4.2 ghz tho.
