8350 bios update to a 970 motherboard

So I want to buy a fx-8350 and a Gigabyte AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gbps USB 3.0 ATX AM3+ Socket DDR3 1600 Motherboards (GA-970A-DS3P). On pc part picker it say it MAY need a bios update. I’m not sure if this one would need a bios update or not. All the other motherboards are like 170+ and I don’t want to waste that much. Please help

Don't waste money on FX CPUs any more. If you can't afford an Intel G4560 or a Ryzen, with motherboard and DDR4 RAM, then just wait. FX CPUs are just a dead end any more.

Your not going to need an update. Here is the big question though. Why are you going with an inferior AMD fx setup, when the new AMD Ryzen CPUs are so much better. That would be any Ryzen cpu.
