I just, finally, got on the internet last night with my newly upgraded XP
machine, formerly WIN 2000. Ever since I started do updates this morning, I
have been getting over and over the critical update 835732. It gets
'successfully update' then comes right back.

I need to get Service Pack 2. When is that going to become available. I
can't download it, seemingly, no matter where on the Windows Update I go.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

If you plan on obtaining SP2 via Windows Updates, you'll need to turn on
Automatic Updates. To avoid overload to the update servers, it will
randomly become available to you. The auto update method download and
installs only portions of SP2 that apply to your current setup.

Available alternatives are to download the complete installation package
(English version):

Or order the CD:

SP2 has veen available for around four months.
