I have been thinking about getting an SSD for a while now, and I decided to go for 250GB as that seems like the sweet spot for my use. I usually play video games and stuff, I occasionally use Photoshop but not for anything important, and I just do normal computer stuff apart from that (I usually like to overclock, but that's not relevant to storage), so as the title states, should I go for an 850 Evo or Pro, the Evo in Australia is about 150 AUD, but the Pro is only has a 50 dollar premium at 200 AUD. I plan on keeping the drive for a while and I really like a fast system so that is why I am kinda leaning to the pro.

The 850 Pro and the 850 Evo are both good choices. Both ssd's perform exceptionally well. If cost is not a concern than I would recommend the 850 Pro.

I maintain an ssd database listed in a sticky at the very top of the forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the SATA 3 section and look for the 850 Pro and 850 Evo or any other brand you might be interested in and follow the links to the technical reviews.
