I installed Linux Mint 17.1 on a new Samsung 850 Evo. I installed the essential applications and rebooted. Instead of booting to the desktop, it gave me a black screen with white text reading "Read error." Every time I attempt a boot of this drive I get the same result.
The connections are solid, and the drive appears in my Bios. Any idea what I can do to fix this issue?

I tried rebooting again, and it worked. I'm not going to accept this as a permanent solution.

My hard drive has Linux Mint 17 and 16 installed. Both Cinnamon and x64. My HDD will boot just fine every time. Yes, my PC will post with or without the SSD.
