850 pro with Asus z68 MB

I just got new 850 Pro 256gb to replace 120gb Kingston Hyper X drive that I have had for several years. MB is P8Z68-V pro Gen3 Asus.with two 6GBS ports on ? Marvel controller (can't remember). I have Antec Case with 2.5" hot swap bay. Put new SSD in hot swap and powered it and attached controller for 3GBS SATA . MB sees new HDD, Win 10 and Samsung Data Migration software do not. They say to use USB port to transfer data to new SSD. Do I have to get this cable (USB to SATA)? Do I have to have new SSD on 6GBS SATA to use it at all? After to transfer I was going to put new SSD in old SSD position (bay adapter & SATA Cable to port 1 and hope for the best. I got it at the "Dawn" of ssd and now it's foggy to me. Maybe the Marvell controller is only for Port 1 & 2. Win 10 has been running for about 30 days but now I want to put AutoCAD on SSD and 120gb not enough. I 5 2500K 16GB ram. Help

It is plugged into a SATA port. The board has SATA Ii and SATA III (only 2) .

I doubted your recommendation. I looked at your credentials. I did as you said. Problem solved. Just migrated data.
I will name this hard drive after you in appreciation. Hope to be back soon booting from new drive. Thank you

Meir milliseconds later.... back booting from 850 pro with lots of empty space for AutoCAD. I am a big science fiction fan, but not familiar with outlander. Will look it up.
