This is my first build and here is the parts I want to use:

1. CPU: I5 3570K
2. Motherboard: Asrock Extreme 4
3. Case: Antec 1100
4. Graphic Card: EVGA FTW or Asus DC2T
5. CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper EVO
6. Memory: GSkill Ripjaw 8gb DDR3 1600
7. SSD: 128gb
8. HD: Seagate 2T 7200pm
9. Asus DVD Burner
10. OS: Windows 7

The purpose is mainly for gaming and I want to overclock and also want to sli GTX 670 in the future. Here are my questions:

1. I want to select the power supply from XFX, Corsair, or Seasonic. Should I use 750W or 850W?
2. This is my first time to build a PC. Should I buy Modular or non modular.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Thank you for the quick reply. But I read article saying TX750 is made by CWT and HX750 is made by Seasonic.

BTW, should I use the modular or non modular considering I am a noob in PC building.

Would u look at that, u are absolutely correct : )

Corsair originally launched the TX-series with their CWT-made TX750W non-modular power supply which I will be looking at in this review. As you have probably already guessed, this power supply is rated at 750W continuous output and carries Corsair’s 5-year warranty. In the last few weeks, Corsair has also launched their TX650W which is Seasonic-built and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an 850W version sometime down the road.

One way or another, at around $150CAD Corsair is once again poised to dominate another price bracket with this 750W power supply. While it may not be modular, the TX750 has one heck of an act to follow considering the HX-series has been one of the best selling power supply lines from ANY manufacturer.

CMPSU-750TXV2 - Seasonic

CMPSU-750TXM - CWT - semi-modular, not as good as the CMPSU-750TXV2 made by Seasonic.
