Basically the title..

I have an evga 850w 80 gold plus psu
i7 4790k
G1 980ti
G1 970 (to be physx)
H100i watercooler
Hero VII motherboard

I have the 970 collecting dust so thought I would see how it goes as a dedicated physx card as im playing 4k and need everything Ive got to push it, also I havent overclocked anything yet but I do plan to very soon, would the psu be okay?

Thanks for any help!

You do know that there aint a great deal of games releasing with PhysX? I'm sure its like 3-4 a year.

Thanks will try it out before selling it, probably will still sell though given that witcher 3 seems to be the only game I play that supports it..

does Arma 3 do it though?

Witcher 3 and Project Cars don't support PhysX through graphics card. Physics will be calculated on CPU side, so a dedicated PhysX card will not help. Even the benchmark FireStrike does not use PhysX. I did researched this, because I wanted use my old 750 Ti as PhysX card besides my main card 970. I did benchmark and there was no or almost difference.
