Lokking at buying 1TB ssd sata and i see QVO is 25% cheap er then EVO. I only use my HDD for games, movies and simple tasks. I dont use video editing right now but it might happen if i start using my helmet cam again but thats not gona be very often.

So is the EVO worth the extra 25% over QVO for me?

QVO has QLC which is slower, EVO uses TLC which isn't as slow.

As above the MX500 may be a decent alternative play. All of them should have similar read performance but the QLC tanks out speed wise when doing large writes that are larger than the buffer.

For a gaming-style scratch disk you probably won't notice much of a difference.

No. I have external QVO, and it's more than enough. I would go for the cheapest 1TB drive that the market offers now; you don't need an SSD, you don't need a brand name, and you don't need it very fast. If the drive dies, you don't really need the data. At my place, the cheapest 1 TB happens to be https://www.ebay.de/itm/Seagate-Mom...400RPM-2-5-Zoll-SATA-ST1000LM024/233607363806 for 1 € plus postage now (and if the price rises, change to the next cheapest then).
